Zayn Malik opens up about eating disorder

British singer of Pakistani origin Zayn Malik has opened up about his eating disorder.

In his autobiography 'Zayn' the pop star who shot to global fame as part of the British boy band One Direction, said he was suffering from a eating disorder during his final tour with the band.

"I'd just go for days – sometimes two or three days straight – without eating anything at all. It got quite serious, although at the time I didn't recognise it for what it was," Zayn said in his autobiography.

Zayn added that the only thing he had control over during that period was food and it was this feeling which led to his disorder.

The singer further said he had lost weight and become ill because the pace of life along with the other pressures had impacted his eating habits.
