LAHORE: Arthur Nayyar popularly known as A. Nayyar passed away after a prolonged illness here on Friday.
He was 66-year-old. A. Nayyer appeared on the scene in 1970's. He was a famous singer of 1970's and 80's and gave many memorable songs.
A. Nayyar started his career as a singer in 1974 and was decorated with Nigar Award for five times.
President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of legendary singer A. Nayyar.
In a message, the President condoled with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.
Services and contribution of A. Nayyar in the field of music will be remembered for a long time.
