As the cross-border clash hits the artist community and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) demands a ban on Pakistani artists post Uri terror attack, a lot of artists have spoken up on the subject. Ranbir Kapoor, whose upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is in hot water since it stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in a small yet significant role, also shared his views on the issue and addressed the youth.
"I don't want to sound preachy and like a 'healer talker' but we are living in some hard times right now," Kapoor noted while speaking at the Close Up First Move Party held past weekend. "I hope that you guys (the youth) don't get swept away with the bitterness and negativity, the violence that's happening around the world and around us."
The actor spread the message of love and asked his fans who were present there to hug each other as a gesture of love and solidarity.
"I want you guys to stay sweet, gentle, amazing and beautiful. Because even though the world may think that it's a shitty place to live in, it is beautiful. You guys are the force. And the force is going to be with you, forever," he asserted.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has an all-star cast including the likes of Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma. Directed by Karan Johar, the film is expected to come out on October 28 but we are not too sure about its release now, given the ongoing controversy.
