Pakistani artists continue to be targeted across the border with the latest incident taking place with Ali Zafar.
According to reports in the Indian media, Ali Zafar will not be appearing in the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie 'Dear Zindagi'.
Reports indicate that Ali Zafar will still be part of the movie, as his role is crucial for narration. However, the fate of the actor will be decided following the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Following the Uri attack, it has become extremely difficult for Pakistani actors to work in Bollywood. Extremist party MNS issued an ultimatum for Pakistani actors to leave India, while the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has passed a motion prohibiting artistes from across the border to work in the industry.
Cinema owners and Exhibitors Association of India has also announced that it will not screen movies which have Pakistani actors in four states-Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat.
