Momina Mustehsan, credited as the breakthrough star of Coke Studio 9, is back in the news thanks to an upcoming ditty. Titled 'Na Janoon', the song is in collaboration with French pop musician Abbas Hasan and the two are currently working on it. It is said to be a love song and will also have some French verses.
Mustehsan shot to fame after lending her vocals to the ever popular number 'Afreen Afreen' alongside Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in the recently concluded ninth season of Coke Studio. Having made two more appearances on the show (one with Junaid Khan and another with Asim Azhar), Mustehsan's popularity shot through the sky. With endorsements from the likes of Meesha Shafi, she is well on her way to the top.
Hasan, on the other hand, is a London-based singer known for singing in multiple languages. He won the Artist of the Year trophy in Canada and is among the top 10 Asian artists watched by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). His last collaboration was with Shah Rukh Khan's official DJ, DJ Khushi. He is also the ambassador for the upcoming Pan-Asian International Film and Music Awards (PAIFMA). What their collective input will be like, time will tell.
