First ever Sindh Literature Festival held in Karachi

Karachi Sindh literature festival is the first ever effort dedicated to the promotion of the language, art, culture and literary talent of the province. Including around twenty sessions on literature, Culture, Archaeology, History, Education and Arts.

The second day of the festival saw a participation of a number of art and literature enthusiasts.

In attendance, amidst a crowd of participants and literati, Mr Abdullah Hussain Haroon emphasizing the need of a platform for the talent of Sindh appreciated the efforts of the young team behind the organization of the three-day festival. Former Pakistan Ambassador to the United Nations and former Sindh Assembly speaker is the chairperson of the Sindh Literature festival.

A coordinated endeavor by a young team comprising of Naseer Ahmed Gopang, Bakhshan Mehranvi and Ali Akash one of the visions and missions of the festival is also to include other regional languages and highlight the literature from all four provinces. The SLF team promises a diverse line-up for the 2nd edition next year.

Closing with legendary Abida Parveen's live performance on the first day the second day ended with a musical performance by young singer Natasha Baig.

The festival will continue till Sunday, the November 6th, at the Beach Luxury Hotel.
