Extremists vandalise cinema in India for screening ADHM

An local cinema in India was vandalised on Thursday by the Sambhaji Brigade for screening film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which also stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

The local extremist organisation broke booking counter and hurled stones at the multiplex in India's Kalyan area, reported India media.

The extremists attacked the multiplex and tore posters of the movie.

After wrecking the cinema, the extremist party members fled from the area and the cinema hall was shut down.

The movie by Karan Johar has stirred controversy as it casts Pakistan heartthrob Fawad Khan. Earlier, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists had threatened to vandalise cinemas which would show the movie.

Although the uproar by the MNS subsided after reaching a settlement with Karan Johar and Producers' Guild. To settle matters and ensure a smooth release of the film, Johar had agreed to add a part in the film paying tribute to the dead soldiers of the Uri Attack, and donating Rs 50 million to Indian Army fund.
