Indian composer AR Rahman spoke to Geo news about his music and inspirations in Japan.
When asked about how do you make your music different AR Rahman answered "I don't know the way I grew up, I grew up with technology, a positive attitude of giving and be open about things. All the collaborations I'm doing is probably an excitement its an inclusive process."
When asked about his inspiration Rahman was quick to mention Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan stating "He is a unique genius, I look at his qawwali his voice his composition it is untouched by anyone now."
A. R. Rahman's work is noted for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music, world music and traditional orchestral arrangements.
Among his awards are two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South.
