Indian actress and model Arshi Khan has denied rumours that she would protest outside the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi if the Pakistan Cricket Board does not include cricketer Shahid Afridi in the national Twenty20 team.
Indian media had reported that the controversial actress would hold a 'nude protest' outside the Pakistan embassy in Delhi if the PCB does not revoke its decision of excluding Afridi from the team within three weeks.
But, in a video message posted on Youtube, the Indian model denied the report, saying she respects Afridi and would not do anything to disrespect him.
The model said she was willing to do a lot for the flamboyant cricketer.
Arshi Khan has previously been in the limelight for claiming to be Afridi's girlfriend, a claim denied by the cricketer.
The PCB is expected to meet on September 26 to discuss the farewell match for the all-rounder.
PCB chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed said Monday that a decision for the farewell match will be made after consulting with Shahid Afridi.
Chairman PCB executive committee Najam Sethi has already said that the board would give a fitting sendoff to the former captain.
Shahid Afridi had recently said he wanted to retire on a high note but had never requested PCB to give him a farewell series before retiring from the game.
Afridi, a veteran of 98 T20Is, had last year announced retirement from ODIs.
Earlier in 2010, he had quit Test cricket, but despite quitting Pakistan's captaincy from T20s after World T20 this year, he insisted on continuing as a player in the shortest format.
