Hadiqa Kiani has decided to file a defamation suit against a British website which broke fake news of a drug bust involving the renowned Pakistani singer.
Metro UK last month claimed that Kiani had been arrested at the London Heathrow Airport for trying to smuggle 2KG of cocaine in bags of coffee.
Kiani, expressing shock and disgust, rejected media reports claiming that she was caught with drugs.
The singer had shunned the websites spreading news of her arrest and tweeted to say that she was currently in Lahore attending her nephew's birthday.
She had also posted a photo on Twitter, whose caption read: "Photo taken today in Lahore with my mother and son! Cannot believe how this fake London news has been spread."
