Indian actor Sonakshi Sinha will no longer be playing the damsel in distress.
Sonakshi who made her debut in Dabangg in 2010 has been seen playing tough girl roles in recent movies such as Force 2, Akira and Noor.
According to reports in the Indian media, Sonakshi has clearly said she does not want to play 'arm candy' to male actors. While admitting that in the past she did not mind playing such characters, but moving forward Sonakhsi said she would be focusing more on women-centric roles.
However, the Bollywood star did not rule out the possibility of returning to maslala characters while maintaining a balance.
