Beauty and the Beast is the among the most favourite fairy tales around the world, and its recent movie adaptation – featuring Harry Potter actress Emma Watson – has garnered renewed interest from children and adults alike.
It, therefore, comes as no surprise that a Mexican news website has highlighted a fresh take on the ballroom scene from the fable. The video clip has garnered more than 9.1 million views on social network Facebook and has been shared 201,000 times.
The short, instrumental music video is centred around a mariachi dancing duo, who enter from the top of a staircase – exactly in line with the animated film – wherein Belle is garbed in a charming, summery yellow dress, while her partner is seen wearing a charro outfit complete with the Mexican hat.
The music, needless to say, is "Tale As Old As Time," albeit with the Mexican touch to it, and is played on trumpets and violins. The group even added a perfect setting with huge pillars, lengthy stairways, and slightly risen stages.
