Seems like Badrinath Ki Dulhania is doing too well against director Shashank Khaitan, as he is "really keen to make the third instalment of the '…Dulhania' franchise," Indian Express reported.
The filmmaker was present at Hindi thriller film Trapped's premiere, where Khaitan spoke to the media about BKD's success. "We are delighted with the response. We are getting a lot of encouragement. After seeing the film, the audience is coming out of the theatres with happy faces," he said.
However, since the idea, although lucrative, is just in its infant stage, the plotline or team has not been decided yet.
As for the cast, what director doesn't want to work with all A-list stars? However, Khaitan said, "If I approach Aamir Khan first, he would be asking for a good script, which I don't have."
BKD, which is the second flick after 2014 movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, has bagged INR 622.8 million in revenue, as of March 15, Taran Adarsh. The film depicts the story of two people who believe in different ideologies falling in love.
