A soothing voice in Pakistan's music industry, Zoe Viccaji has had us sway to her melodies many times.
The icon on Monday released a music video of her 2013 song Ishq Kinara, which she first sang in Coke Studio Season 6. And it's artistically amazing!
The fashion-savvy singer takes the viewers around a theatre, playing the roles of a stage actress, an audience member, and a fan of herself. The video, which co-stars Kashif Hussain, is shot onstage, backstage, and in the seats.
"Ishq Kinara basically talks about (…) learning to love and respect yourself, instead of relying on someone else for it.
The Meher Jaffri-directed music video captures the chaotic atmosphere both behind the scenes and in the audience, where a variety of people are present – including an overly-obsessed admirer, genuine attendees, those who criticise others, and a person who annoys everyone with his unruly behaviour during the show.
