Shahrukh Khan and Aalia Bhat starrer Dear Zindagi collected Rs 52.5 crore (INR) in the domestic box-office and crossed the Rs 100 crore (INR) mark internationally within nine days of its release, the Times of India reported.
The film directed by Gauri Shinde, who also directed English Vinglish, was released across 1200 screens in India on November 23.
The film revolves around Kaira a cinematographer played by Aalia Bhat, who goes for therapy to Dr Jehangir Khan played by Shahrukh Khan.
The story beautifully touches issues of mental illness, coming of age, and the hopes and fear Kaira carries with her.
The movie also stars Pakistani singer Ali Zafar.
