A look into President-Elect Trump`s married life

US President-Elect Donald Trump`s married life is not less dramatic than his public life. Here is a brief look into it.

The US president has five children by three marriages, and through them has eight grandchildren, while two of his previous marriages ended in divorces.

Trump married his first wife, Ivana Zelnickova, who was a Czech by nationality and model by profession, on April 7, 1977. They have three children. The children now serve as executive vice-presidents of his business empire, The Trump Organization. According to media reports Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric are currently playing a vital role in building Trump`s team to take over the next US administration.

In early 1990, tabloids broke the news of Trump's troubled marriage to Ivana and his affair with an actress Marla Maples. Soon, it was learnt that Ivana Trump was granted an uncontested divorce in 1990. Ivana is on record to say that she and her former husband "are the best of friends". In an interview with the New York Post, she said that her former husband should appoint her as the U.S. ambassador to her home county. She said she speaks Czech and is well known in her home country — and around the world.

Maples gave birth to their daughter Tiffany on October 13, 1993. They married two months later on December 20, 1993, however, the couple formally separated in May 1997.

In 1998, Trump began a relationship with a Slovene model Melania Knauss, who later became his third wife. On March 20, 2006, she gave birth to their son, whom they named Barron Trump. The current wife of President-Elect is famous for her controversial photo-shoots during her modelling years.

Media reports suggest that Melania will not be joining Trump at White House, rather would stay at the Trump Tower in New York due to Baron`s schooling.
