Faryal tells fans to 'relax' after criticism pours in on Halloween costume

American-Pakistani model Faryal Makhdoom found herself in the middle of yet another controversy, and this time it was not because of her relationship with British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan.

The model dressed up as DC supervillain Poison Ivy for Halloween and her followers were not happy.

Social media users lashed out at the model for 'disobeying Islam' after she unveiled her stunning makeover on Instagram.

Amir Khan's estranged wife has hit back at her fans asking them to 'relax' after coming under fire for dressing up as DC supervillain Poison Ivy for Halloween.

The snap showed her wearing a bright-red wig and face gems.

Some fans were unhappy that the model had decided to celebrate Halloween.

'As a Muslim, u shouldn't really dress up but looks alright,' an individual wrote.

Another comment said: 'You're a role model to so many young Muslims. May Allah swt guide you and us.'

Others ran to her defence, with one commenting: 'What's in celebrating Halloween? It's not a sin. Like u just some creepy makeup and costume that's it. Duh.'

The 26-year-old model could not let the controversy pass without commenting herself.

The pregnant model, who has previously admitted that she was 'not perfect Muslim', visited her comment section to tell fans to take it easy.

She wrote: 'It's a Halloween look guys. It's not an everyday party look lol. Please relax.'

Faryal later removed the video from her Instagram account.

Faryal and Amir split up earlier this year in a string of explosive tweets in which Khan accused his wife of cheating on him with fellow boxing star Anthony Joshua.

She had hit out at the former light-welterweight world champion with claims he had slept with other women during their four-year marriage, writing: 'After all these years. I've always defending a cheat, always stuck around for him, always had his back.'

In September, Faryal had said she wanted to get back together for the sake of their unborn child and apologised to her in-laws for their public spat.

The couple is now in the process of a divorce despite earlier claims that they were trying to give their relationship another go.

But boxing champ Amir tweeted: 'Unfortunately it didn't work out between Me and Faryal and we are still going ahead with the divorce. We are in good talking terms. We have to think about our daughter Lamaisah who I will always be there for. I wish Faryal all the very best for the future.'
