LAHORE: Lollywood actress Meera remarked that Atiq-ur-Rehman is a liar adding that he is not her husband while recording her statement before a court on Wednesday.
The actress, who appeared before a family court in Lahore, also claimed that her nikkahnama [marriage contract] with Atiq-ur-Rehman is fake.
Meera, whose real name is Irtiza Rubab, has been accused by Atiq-ur-Rehman that she had entered into a marriage contract with him and later married Captain Naveed in 2013.
Rehman claims that Meera entered into a second marriage contract while still being married to him.
In her statement, she claimed that Atiq-ur-Rehman is not her husband as they never got married.
The nikkahnama presented before the court is fake, she claimed, adding that the contract cannot be verified by any union council
"Atiq is a liar and he should be stopped from calling me his wife," she said before the court.
The actress also signed the statement after recording it.
