In the wee hours of Monday morning, a light shone brightly — on Twitter.
Actor Chris Evans made a sweet gesture against those who are bullied when he tweeted a response to the video of a bullied young boy, urging him to "stay strong" and not to "let them make you turn cold".
The clip depicts Keaton Jones — a boy probably in his teens, hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee — very hurt and sobbing uncontrollably after going through harrowing experiences of bullying.
"People are different. They don't need to be bullied about it," he says, questioning why bullying exists when every person is unique.
Evans then went on to offer Jones and his mom a trip to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of the upcoming Avengers movie next year.
"While those punks at your school are deciding what kind of people they want to be in this world, how would you and your mom like to come to the Avengers premiere in LA next year?"
Avengers: Infinity War — which premieres April 25, 2018 — is the film Evans referred to.
Lakyn — Keaton's elder sister — responded to the Captain's tweet, saying that her brother "would absolutely love that".
"I'm on it," the Avenger responded, adding a thumbs-up emoji.
Many others joined the conversation with their own experiences and traumas.
Mark Ruffalo — a fellow Avenger who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk — also retweeted the video, noting that he "was bullied when I was a kid" and calling Jones his "own personal super hero".
"This is what bullying does to kids," Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch said, adding that "#itgetsbetter, we promise".
"I cried when I watched this. I've been there. That was me in middle school. Kids were relentless and I didn't understand why", said 30-year-old Raven.
"I was bullied in school too. The pain is real, and I don't want to relive it by watching the video", added Simone Cromer.
"I was in tears. I was shocked at the trigger it was for me. Bullying shaped me on a way that was irreparable. Instead I bury it", John Rangers, 51, added.
"That's why I'm Team Cap", claimed Sam James Peck.
Evans first starred as Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) in Captain America: The First Avenger and has reprised his role in all Avengers movies since.
