Refusing to be held back by the marriage split, Faryal Makhdoom is back in the news, doing photoshoots, commenting on her plans to raise her daughter, and what not.
Makhdoom, who had a bitter separation and public spat with former husband and boxer Amir Khan in August, shared pictures of a recent photoshoot on Snapchat, donning exquisite bridal dresses by Pakistani designer Sobia Nazir.
The dresses varied from a fusion of eastern and western cuts to traditional eastern wear, complemented with equally beautifully jewellery.
The Pakistan-American model's shoot comes weeks after her separation from husband and her subsequent announcement about pregnancy.
Faryal and Amir split up earlier this year in a string of explosive tweets in which Khan accused his wife of cheating on him with fellow boxing star Anthony Joshua.
She had hit out at the former light-welterweight world champion with claims he had slept with other women during their four-year marriage, writing: 'After all these years. I've always defending a cheat, always stuck around for him, always had his back.'
In September, Faryal had said she wanted to get back together for the sake of their unborn child and apologised to her in-laws for their public spat.
The couple is now in the process of a divorce despite earlier claims that they were trying to give their relationship another go.
In a separate interview to the DailyMail, Makhdoom talked at length about how she plans to raise her daughter, Lamaisa, as a "strong and independent" woman.
"In life you go through really hard times and realise that you come into this world alone and you leave alone," she said. "So, I want my daughter to be an independent and strong woman."
The model said she believes "women are just as strong as men and we are even stronger because we pop out kids, so that's why God chose us to pop the kids out. We have patience, we are mentally stronger and so sometimes the woman is the King."
