Aishwarya Rai Bachchan broke into tears when photographers and paparazzi caused chaos at an NGO where she had gone to celebrate her late father's birth anniversary, according to Indian media.
The shutterbugs at the event continued to click Aishwarya's photos despite her requesting them to stop doing so.
"Please stop it. You guys don't know the work," Times Now News quoted Aishwarya as saying. "This is not a premiere. This is not another public event. Please show some respect guys. What's wrong with you all?"
According to NDTV, Aishwarya's father would accompany her to the events of the NGO, Smile Train, which is why marking his death anniversary there was an emotional moment for the star. He died in March this year.
Aishwarya is the goodwill ambassador for Smile Train, which she co-partners with her own charity foundation, according to NDTC. The foundation's aim is to provide free cleft lip and palate surgery to children who need it.
