While fans of Game of Thrones are revelling (or reeling) from the seventh season's first episode and news of Kit Harington-Rose Leslie going the next step in their relationship, there may be another tiny happy thing to enjoy.
Sophie Turner – the face behind the confused, abused, and frankly, a bit stupid Sansa Stark of Winterfell – recently made an appearance at a San Diego Comic-Con panel and underscored that she believes in her character more now.
Admitting that Sansa earlier frequently fell prey to Littlefinger's (played by Aidan Gillen) schemes, Turner told host Kristian Nairn – who portrayed Hodor – that the character "has grown and has been manipulated by these people [after] silently absorbing and learning and adapting".
Turner then added, "In my opinion, she's just as good at playing the game as he is at this point," according to Times.
About time the Seven Gods put some sense in that girl!
"In terms of seeing men in a different light, I think she sees the world in a different light," the 21-year-old star noted, adding that "she's woke now guys, she's really woke"!
Fans obviously cheered on at Turner's response. But how likely is that she will slip into someone else's trap?
"She's cautious, she trusts no one, man or woman, family member or not. That's important when you play the game of thrones," the star explained.
The first episode of Game of Thrones' seventh season had many admirers concerned about the Jon-Sansa relationship, especially with regard to Littlefinger budging in… as usual.
It now remains to be seen who's really manipulating who between Sansa and Littlefinger. Meanwhile, stay tuned to more news from San Diego Comic Con, which runs July 20-23, 2017.
