Bollywood actor and director Rishi Kapoor — who makes more news these days due to his unthinking yet vitriolic posts on social media — braced a major blow as his family's legendary RK Films and Studios caught fire two days ago.
Luckily, no loss of life was reported in the incident but the actor bemoaned the 'irreplaceable' loss of family memorabilia and costumes which perished in the fire.
Reportedly, 11 fire engines and five water tankers tried to extinguish the fire.
It was learnt that the cause of fire is yet to be known, and at the time of incident the studio was locked and no shooting was taking place.
The fire started on the ground floor in the electrical wing and damaged the Stage 1.
Rishi's father, Raj Kapoor laid the foundation of the studio in 1948.
