After a prolonged career, the actor finally clinched the prestigious National Film Award for his role in Rustom.
The action hero received the award for 'Best Actor' at the 64th National Film Awards.
On his success, Kumar said that he has won this award with honesty, saying that he has never cheated in his life. He added that he never called anyone, paid money, or done favours to win an award.
Khoobsurat actress Sonam Kapoor's film Neerja won the Best Film award.
The two actors put up a post on Instagram to express their feelings, following their win.
